Tips for your studio session

Allow plenty of time - this is art and art takes time. Relax and enjoy - it's all about you!

What do you want from the photoshoot - why are you having the photos taken? Are they for you or other people?

Be purposeful - What do you want to project? What clothes will flatter you?  If you want to show off your curves don't wear shapeless, bulky clothes.  If you want to hide your curves don't wear shiny clingy satin.

Don't be afraid! Step out of your comfort zone so we can get great images that say something about you.  Bring treasures, icons, props and personal items that mean something to you.

Clean shiny hair looks great under lights, but it will be a bit fly away. If you want every hair in place with no wispy bits, then don't wash it. Often we need to even out skintones with makeup - even the blokes. If you aren't experienced at applying your own make-up, it's best to let some else do it.
